kirby planet robobot (🎮 8/10)
get in the robobot kirby. [8/10]
i didn't think i'd like the robot mechanic all too much at first - i thought it was a weird contrast to the cuteness of kirby. but holy shit was it extremely fun, and i find myself REALLY looking forward to all the robobot segments in stages!! now i know why people rave about this particular kirby title :] the level designs are soo fun too... vibrant and very imaginative, especially the ice cream and underwater areas... and in the "circuitry" themed levels, i can appreciate little designs like the capacitors and boards incorporated in the stage's background designs.
the story isn't all too crazy, but the last bit was touching... seeing the robobot (is it even sentient) make sure that kirby was safe. iunno maybe i'm a baby for tearing up a little, but it's very sweet!!
i haven't played much of the meta knight stages yet... i know it's more of an optional time attack, so i'm in no rush tbh. also maybe at some point i'll try the arena stuff!! after all, i never really finished the arena when i first played kirby. super star ultra, more specifically. i want to get around to it at some point!!
