expert in a dying field - the beths (🎧 6/10)
the cover art is cute!! also the first track as well!! and the title fascinated me so much, that i was a little disappointed that this didn't turn out to be some science-y concept album. for some reason i was expecting songs about fish - but that isn't really the reason i rated this a 6 i swear.
while the first part hooked me in (haha fish!), the rest of the tracklist just sounded a little too similar to me at parts. i'll be honest, as a whole, this album didn't really wow me :( ... but it's alright!! i guess my ears are a little worn to the indie rock sound, so it fell a little flat. there are some tracks here that i really like, but ahhh. aaahhh!! give me songs about fish!!
